A drum kit historically has been a set of drums, cymbals, and other percussion instruments, used with drumsticks in jazz and popular music. The most basic components are a bass drum, a snare drum, a suspended cymbal, and one or more tom-toms. So what are free drum kits?
In the digital age, where most music is produced in the box (your computer), a drum kit is a collection of WAV audio files that you can import to any hardware or software sampler. Usually they are organized into folders of kicks, snares, hats, percussion, foley and sound effects. There is no particular naming standard, so sometimes you nice and easy to remember file names, other times you have to remember cryiptic drum names and figure out by yourself what drum hit you are hearing.
We have always offered most of our drum kits for free. Even with the recent additions of premium kits which require a purchase, we are still committed to supply free drum kits for everybody.
