We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Point Blank’s new campus in the vibrant Shoreditch, London, set to open in 2024. This state-of-the-art facility is not just a building; it’s a dream come true for students pursuing the BSc (Hons) in Music Systems Engineering (MuSE). Our new degree designed in collaboration with industry giants like Ableton, Focusrite, and Roland is the perfect course for those passionate about both coding and music.

The Heart of Innovation: The Library and Studios

At the core of our new campus is the library, a sanctuary for research, introspection, and discovery. Here, students can dive deep into their coursework, studying the world of music technology, exploring artist contracts, industry nuances, and the rich history of music and entertainment. It’s more than a collection of books; it’s a gateway to understanding the intricate world of the music industry.

The campus also boasts two cutting-edge sound engineering studios, featuring the SSL Duality Delta and SSL Origin mixing consoles. These studios are designed for creativity and collaboration, allowing you to experiment and iterate your projects. They offer a unique opportunity to test out your latest music software creations on pro-level equipment and carefully sound proofed environments.

Our new building introduces six avant-garde music production studios, each equipped with the latest tools to ensure you have everything you need to hone your craft. Outside of lectures, you can access nine personal recording studios and four acoustically optimized vocal booths, available seven days a week. These spaces are perfect for recording, mixing, and collaborating, providing a real-world environment to apply your skills in music production, sound design, and audio processing.

As a MuSE student, you’re not just learning to code or design music software; you’re preparing for a career that bridges technical and artistic realms. The new campus provides an environment where you can develop your skills in programming, sound engineering, digital audio effects, and more. With small class sizes, you’ll get ample one-on-one time with lecturers, ensuring a personalized learning experience.

A look at the new student hub

Networking is a crucial element in the music industry, perhaps more so than in any other field. Recognizing this, the heart of our new campus is the student hub, meticulously designed as an arena for relaxation, connection, and growth. This space is more than just a break room; it’s a dynamic environment where you can rest from classes and recording sessions, enjoy a meal, and most importantly, catch up with your classmates. The hub is a melting pot of ideas and creativity, where students from various backgrounds and interests come together, share insights, and collaborate on projects. It’s a place where the informal exchange of ideas can lead to the next big innovation in music technology. For those interested in event management, our live performance space within the hub offers invaluable hands-on experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack from the kitchenette, engaging in lively discussions with peers, or absorbing knowledge during our regular masterclasses with industry experts, the student hub is designed to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience. It’s where the seeds of future collaborations are sown and where the pulse of the new music tech community is felt most strongly.

Point Blank’s new campus is more than just a place to learn; it’s a hub where future music technology leaders are made. With access to professional-standard technology and a curriculum designed in consultation with industry leaders, you’re set to embark on a journey that prepares you for a successful career in music systems engineering. Get ready to explore, create, and innovate at Point Blank’s new campus, where your dreams in music technology become a reality.
