PB students and DJ/producer duo, Funk Cartel, joined forces with SOULKEMIST to remix Point Blank Recordings’ latest single releases, ‘Dreams’.
The original, which was released just over a month ago and has already racked up over 200,000 streams globally, came to fruition when Ferocious Talent’s Vivienne Chi and Harry Shadow hit the studio together. The track is a fresh reimagining of the Fleetwood Mac classic of the same name and sees the song reworked for the new generation.
Funk Cartel and SOULKEMIST’s version is a sultry four to floor powerhouse which sees the collaborators strip things back to subtle grooves and vocal chops. Check out their remix below.
In addition to running their own record label and club night, THUNDR, The Funk Cartel duo recently made their way over to Ibiza where they performed at Cafe Mambo and caught the eye of one of the White Isle’s top promoters who works for Amnesia, Studio 338 as well as running Abode in the Park and Abode Records. Keep an eye on Funk Cartel, they’re certainly ones to watch from the Point Blank family.
