East London is famous for its art and culture, and Shoreditch is its buzzing epicentre. As a student here, you’ll love how creativity, community, and trends collide on every street corner. Once a haven for artists and musicians, Shoreditch is now a dynamic playground of indie boutiques, vivid street art, buzzing nightlife, and incredible food. So, we decided to take a break from work and explore some must-try places to eat and grab coffee in Shoreditch’s vibrant scene. Here’s our recommendations:

Brick Lane Beigel Bake

This 24/7 bakery is a Shoreditch legend. Their salt-beef beigel is the classic: warm, chewy bread packed with tender beef, sharp mustard, and crunchy pickles. It’s tiny, busy, and completely no-frills; but absolutely worth the queue every single time.
Dark Sugars

If chocolate counts as a love language, Dark Sugars speaks it fluently. Their hot chocolate is iconic: a rich, silky drink topped with curls of dark, milk, and white chocolate that melt as you sip. One cup feels like a warm hug and makes anything stressful instantly disappear. You might want to bring a friend, as these drinks are intense in the best way.
Cafe 1001

Café by day, club by night; Cafe 1001 does it all. You can brunch on pastries or a full English breakfast, camp out all afternoon with your laptop or textbooks, then transition straight into night-out mode with cocktails and live DJs.
The Breakfast Club, Spitalfields

Sometimes you just need the comfort of a proper brunch. Hidden down Artillery Lane, The Breakfast Club looks like a retro American diner with neon signs, quirky décor, cosy booths, the lot. They serve all the classics: fluffy pancakes, avocado toast, full English fry-ups, and they do breakfast all day. A lifesaver after early lectures or late nights.
Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana

Rudy’s is Shoreditch’s go-to for authentic, affordable Neapolitan pizza. It’s student-friendly, lively, and fast, with pizzas landing on the table within minutes. Perfect for casual dinners, birthday meet-ups, or a Friday treat that won’t ruin your budget.
Capiz by Rapsa

Craving something different? Capiz nails Filipino and pan-Asian comfort food. The pork belly is a winner: crispy, tender, and served with rice and a tangy sauce. It’s become a go-to lunch spot, and you’ll often spot pointblank students and staff hanging out there in the afternoon.
Bobo & Wild

Just opposite Shoreditch Park and steps from campus, Bobo & Wild is perfect for a quick study break in the sun. This is a small independent café. They do specialty coffee, brunch, fresh pastries, and even Neapolitan pizza in the evening. Small, friendly, and super convenient.
The Blues Kitchen

After a long week, good food and live music hit the spot. The Blues Kitchen has a Southern-style vibe with neon lights, vintage décor, and even an airstream caravan booth. The food is hearty and finger-licking – sticky wings, slow-smoked ribs, mac ’n’ cheese, and stacked burgers; all served alongside great performances.
Shoreditch Boxpark

Shoreditch isn’t just about restaurants; Boxpark is the ultimate indoor-outdoor mash-up. It’s a modern street-food market and pop-up shopping mall, built entirely from repurposed shipping containers and packed with food stalls, indie brands, and music. Built from shipping containers and packed with street food, indie brands, and music, it’s ideal when you can’t decide what to eat. It’s always buzzing with DJs, football screenings, and events.
Being a student in Shoreditch means your study breaks and weekends are never boring. Midnight bagels, buzzing markets, live music; there’s always something new and inspiring just around the corner. That’s what makes pointblank’s London campus such a win. You’re studying in the heart of creativity, surrounded by artists, innovators, and endless culture.
