Stam Audio’s latest offerings not only combine Pultec’s legendary EQP-1A and MEQ-5 equalisers, but also make them available in either mono or stereo, and for significantly less money than you might expect.

We’re proud to welcome our latest pointblank Recordings (PBR) artist signing, Quincy Telus! He is a Canadian singer-songwriter with a deep passion for pop music. Born in Kamloops, British Columbia, he spent his early years moving between cities such as Ottawa, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. His musical journey began at just 13, when he started collecting equipment and experimenting with sound, inspired by the radio hits he grew up listening to. “I love a catchy song,” he explains, crediting pop’s melodies and sonic structure as key influences in shaping his sound.

Quincy began writing songs as young as seven – though he admits those early efforts were “terrible” but by 15, he was creating material he could genuinely see himself releasing. His current inspirations include Sasha Alex Sloan, Leon, and Glades.

Having recently graduated from the Advanced Production and Composition programme at pointblank Music School Online, Quincy credits his time at the school as a pivotal chapter in his development. Initially joining mentoring sessions without knowing what to expect, he met Kwame, who quickly recognised his potential. After their first meeting, Kwame encouraged him to keep writing, but when Quincy hadn’t followed through by their second session, Kwame offered some tough but supportive advice: “In this industry, if someone gives you an opportunity, you have to treat it seriously. I believe in what you’re doing—you just have to keep going.” That moment became a turning point in Quincy’s work ethic and commitment.

Continued mentorship and connections through pointblank led him to collaborate with producers on new music, one of which caught the attention of pointblank Recordings (PBR), the official record label for pointblank Music School students. As a result, Quincy was signed to the label, marking a major milestone in his career. Being signed to pointblank Recordings means he’s now part of a team that believes in his vision, offering him a platform to push forward and release his music to a wider audience.

In general, PBR is a fantastic opportunity for pointblank students to get a first-hand experience in the music industry. Artists who get signed, most of whom enrolled in our popular degrees such as the BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering Degree or BA (Hons) Music Production & Vocal Performance. If you’re interested in the business side of the industry, our BA (Hons) Music Business Degree offers opportunities for students to work alongside PBR A&Rs and mentors, learning how to develop and connect artists. If you want to know more about learning with pointblank Recordings or how artists like Quincy get signed, check out our detailed blog here.

Now, Quincy is building momentum with the label, working alongside a team that shares his passion for music. While he admits the journey ahead is nerve-racking—“everything is so new”—he remains excited for what’s to come. His next release, “do u see me”, drops on 25th April and leans into a warm, indie folk sound that showcases a softer side of his songwriting.

You can follow Quincy on Instagram and TikTok to stay up to date with his latest projects. His music is also available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
