Point Blank Recordings’ in-house A&R Kwame Kwaten attended the prestigious 25th annual MOBO awards alongside the likes of Dreya Mac, FelixThe1st and Finch Fetti whose track ‘Own Brand (Baddie)’ took home the award for Song of The Year. Industry veteran Kwame, whose successes include signing to Atlantic Records, being nominated for a Mercury Prize and managing critically acclaimed artists like Laura Mvula, worked closely with Dreya, Felix, and Finch to help them ink their record deal.
The star-studded event included a range of electrifying performances from promising newcomers like Cat Burns and British girl group Flo, to three-time Grammy award winner Nile Rodgers.
The glamorous awards honouring the work and growth of British black music on a global scale took place at London’s Wembley Arena and saw gifted artists including Little Simz, Knucks and Pink Pantheress taking home awards.
